- Understand the Camelia Sinensis plant (tea plant) and her wide flavour spectrum
- Insight in the historical facts of why tea is the second most drank beverage in the world besides water
- Understand the chemistry in tea, such as the essential oils, polyphenols and health benefits
- Demonstrate the ability to determine different methods in tea production such as orthodox vs unorthodox and how to grade the tea leaf
- Understand what tea and herbal infusion styles you should have available to meet up to international standards
- Water, extraction techniques, timings and temperatures to the perfect cup of:
- Matcha
- Tea
- Herbal tea
- Blooming tea
- Iced tea
- Insight into what condiments to serve to complement the tea
- Learn and demonstrate how to create moments of impact
- Fine tuning the current tea SOP if required
