Kate’s impressive career as a superyacht crew member began in 2003 on board a 24-metre yacht. Since then she has lived and worked on yachts as big as the 115-metre Pelorus, mostly as a deckhand and diving instructor. Her passion for the ocean and scuba diving has given her a colourful career in the superyacht industry, and led her to become a chief mate and chief officer before coming ashore to become vessel manager for a yacht management firm.
Originally from New Zealand and now living in Turkey, it goes without saying that Kate’s 13- year career on board superyachts has given her a solid understanding of what five-star service looks like, and how to deliver it. This knowledge is regularly shared with those who join Kate on her specialist deck courses, and the special clients she looks after as client project manager.
